Why our platform well conductor analysis?

From optimising the conductor and its casing sizes, to increasing your operational windows and providing accurate centraliser requirements. Conductor analysis has a vital part to play in your platform well, and ensuring optimal efficiencies through the lifetime of your drilling project. Common platform well analysis includes, but is not limited to:

  • Strength and stability analysis
  • Wave-induced fatigue analysis
  • Drive study and driving fatigue assessment

Aquaterra Energy’s riser analysis team have extensive experience in delivering platform well riser and conductor analysis projects, working closely with our in-house teams of design and project engineers to ensure their analysis is not only used, but understood and implemented.

Measuring the strength and stability of conductors determines the acceptability of the conductor, connectors and surface equipment connections and flanges under prescribed storm conditions.

Undertaking wave-induced fatigue analysis can provide an estimate of the conductor fatigue damage from repeated wave loading. The damage from wave-induced fatigue is combined with damage from driving fatigue, to calculate the lifetime of the well.

A drive study and driving fatigue assessment can determine whether the conductor can be driven to the desired depth and in turn, calculate the conductor fatigue damage accumulated during driving operations.
