Apprentice Warehouse Technician

Full time - Great Yarmouth

At Aquaterra Energy we specialise in providing engineering solutions and equipment to the global offshore energy industry – helping clients drive efficient and sustainable offshore operations from drilling and field development, to decommissioning, carbon capture and storage, renewable, and hydrogen projects.

We're looking for a Apprentice Warehouse Technician to join our expanding Operations site at Great Yarmouth in September 2023.

About the role:

  • Dismantling, inspecting and reassembling equipment within the AEL product lines.
  • Make up of riser connections using hydraulic torque tooling
  • Taking part in FATs both at the AEL yard and at off-site premises.
  • Operating the forklift trucks and assisting in loading and unloading vehicles.
  • Maintaining good standards of housekeeping throughout the warehouse premises.
  • Ensuring all tasks are carried out in accordance with AEL policies and procedures and in line with ISO guidelines/requirements.
  • Out of hours work as and when required.
  • Any other duties within the scope of the post holder’s competency as agreed and on occasion.

Responsibilities (SPECIFIC TO HEALTH & SAFETY)

  • Participating in and risk assessments
  • Participating in toolbox talks
  • Checking work equipment condition before use
  • Reporting accidents, incidents, near misses, and other safety concerns
  • Complying with the AEL HSW policies
  • Complying and implementing HSE procedures

About you:

  • Good standard of English and Mathematics
  • A basic City & Guilds /NVQ qualification or equivalent in a relevant engineering or mechanical discipline.
  • Good IT skills including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Good written and good oral communication skills.
  • An unquestionable focus on Health, Safety, Environment and Quality.
  • Desire to develop personal and professional skills
