Nick joined Aquaterra as Finance Director in July 2017, following the multi-million pound investment from EV Private Equity. His primary role is to lead and support the growth of the business through the delivery of effective leadership and governance, bringing with him over 20 years of finance experience in engineering, manufacturing and consultancy.
Nick gained a BA (Hons) in Business Studies from Bournemouth University and subsequently became a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of management Accountants (CIMA) and a Chartered Global management Accountant (CGMA). He has financial experience in the chemical industry before becoming Finance Director and Corporate Service Director for LCS Group, which became a subsidiary of Babcock International Group PLC. He subsequently worked as Finance Director within the Technology division of Babcock Marine, where he was heavily involved in the acquisition of a number of key strategic businesses. During his time at Babcock, he primarily worked on defence contracts supporting nuclear submarines and warships, as well as the first Queen Elizabeth Carrier built in Rosyth, before becoming Finance Director for the Northern European region of the Babcock’s newly acquired aviation business Mission Critical Services. During his career, he has worked in Australia, New Zealand, USA, Oman, Malaysia and Cyprus.
