I joined Aquaterra Energy in 2023 as a Graduate Design Engineer after completing an MEng in Mechanical Engineering at Lancaster University. I was attracted to the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop my engineering skills, and the company has provided great support for my professional development since joining.
As a Design Engineer, my role involves concept generation, CAD modelling, design analysis and draughting. One of the things I enjoy most is bringing ideas to life through SolidWorks and seeing designs develop from concept through to detailed engineering. I also value the friendly and supportive atmosphere in the office, which makes it a great place to work and learn.
One of the standout opportunities for me has been working on the Recoverable Abandonment Frame (RAF). Being involved in its development has provided valuable experience in engineering design, problem-solving and product development, helping me grow both technically and professionally.
