According to Middle East projects tracker MEED Projects, Saudi Arabia and the UAE are leading the MENA region in relation to spending in the oil and gas sector. If contracts are awarded as expected, this quarter looks to be the biggest-spending period since the final quarter of 2011. Spending has been led by Saudi Arabia, UAE, Iraq and Iran.
Against this setting, MEED’s UAE Oil & Gas Greenfields Projects conference, held in September in Abu Dhabi, will provide a comprehensive overview of underway and planned projects attached to the oil and gas production in the UAE.
The conference will highlight the most up-to-date industry market intelligence on UAE’s oil and gas sector involvement with outward investment, including critical updates on strategies to further diversify its regional projects. These developments mark a crucial stage in the UAE’s push to expand its offshore output to new fields.
Patrick Phelan, managing director of Aquaterra Energy said: “Aquaterra Energy’s presence in the key region of the Middle East is essential and our team is well equipped to design solutions for projects in this important market. Our experience in working with clients to explore the opportunities that new fields have to offer places us at the forefront.”
