Full-time (office based) at our offices in Norwich.
At Aquaterra Energy we specialise in providing engineering solutions and equipment to the global offshore energy industry – helping clients drive efficient and sustainable offshore operations from drilling and field development, to decommissioning, carbon capture and storage, renewable, and hydrogen projects.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Document Controller with a proven track record in a similar role within the Offshore Energy industry. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently, demonstrate strong attention to detail and maintain precise record-keeping across multiple projects. Excellent IT and communication skills are essential for this role.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• To liaise with and support the Engineering & Projects team on all aspects of document control.
• Responsible for the day-to-day project document control activities including the timely processing of project documentation (registration, issue, transmittal, return of comments, etc).
• To help the Engineering & Projects team conform to the Company’s Quality Management System (QMS) by ensuring documents are electronically recorded and stored in the relevant files.
• To develop and maintain an electronic document control database for the storage and retrieval of pertinent information, including the control of the master document register (MDR).
• Ensure the timely turnaround of documentation issued internally and received externally.
• To enable the Project Managers to effectively proceed with their projects with confidence that all documentation has been prepared, stored and accurately archived
• To review and verify all project documents for completeness, format and compliance with contract, requirements if applicable.
• Control and organise the production of manufacturers record book (MRB) and data packs for projects.
• To ensure all documents raised by the Company are numbered in the approved manner, circulated for Inter Discipline Checks, review/approval and subsequently distributed to relevant recipients.
About You:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant or similar role with knowledge of document management systems.
- Highly organised, accuracy, thoroughness and the ability to maintain precise record keeping across multiple projects
- The ability to communicate effectively and professionally able to simplify information to distill and relate to others in written or verbal format.
- Self motivated, taking a pride in delivering and meeting objectives
- Able to work independently at a high intensity and output rate, with a strong attention to details
This role requires the unfettered right to work in the UK.
